One Community – Two Teams – Infinite Fun! Crosstown Classic is October 14

This year’s Crosstown Classic football game between Woodstock High School and Woodstock North High School on October 14 will include some fun new activities!  Families are invited to attend the inaugural First National Crosstown Challenge – a special event that has been created to engage our entire community in this great evening. The event is being hosted by, and all proceeds are being donated to, the Athletic Booster clubs at the two high schools.  The boosters will use the funds raised to continue to support athletic teams at all District 200 schools.

2017 School Board Elections

Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 will have 4 school board seats to be filled at the April 4, 2017 Consolidated Election. Candidates who are elected will fill four-year terms expiring in April 2021.

New Monthly Newsletters Provide Great Information for District Families

The Carol M. White PEP Grant, which was awarded to District 200 two years ago, is focused on improving physical activity and nutrition habits for our students.  As an initiative of the grant, we are excited to introduce two monthly newsletters, Nutrition Nuggets and Teen Food & Fitness. The newsletters offer practical ideas to improve nutrition and physical activity habits.

D200 Employees Recognized for Service

More than 1000 total years of hard work were recognized recently at the District’s annual back-to-school kick-off meeting for all staff.  Fifty-seven staff members from all areas of the district were recognized and thanked for their contributions.  Special congratulations went to Kirk Benda, Joy Fister, Kathy Shea and Tom White, for 30 years of service.  Please see “Read more” below for photos and a listing of all who were honored.

New System Allows Parents Easy Access to Bus Routing Information

District 200 is pleased to announce the implementation of a new online system which will allow parents easy access to current bus routing information. The information available to parents reflects all changes in busing routes.  However, it does not provide real-time tracking of buses. See "Read more" below for log-in information.  The log-in link can also be accessed from all school websites by using the blue navigational bar on the left side of the page, labeled "Bus Route Info."

Help Your Bus Driver Find You!

As we prepare for a new school year, the D200 Transportation Department has an important reminder for our rural families: Please make sure that your address is clearly marked in front of your driveway or road so the bus driver can easily find your stop.

Clay Academy School Improvement Plan for 2015-16

Each year, in conjunction with the District 200 Executive Team, the Clay teachers write and follow a School Improvement Plan.   This plan is directly connected to the District 200 Strategic Plan.  This year’s plan has four specific goals for the students and teachers at Clay Academy.

Some Tips to Help Keep Our Kids Safe Online

We remind students of the proper uses of online resources at the beginning of each school year and throughout the year.  We talk to them about never giving out personal information online and making sure that they always know who they are communicating with online.   See "Read more" below for a link to an internet safety site with some tips to think about in your home.
